All of these stories had two characters in them. The characters were opposites of each other. Opposite characters are called foil characters.
The grasshopper did not collect food during the summer, while the ant collected food in the summer.
The lion was big, while the mouse was small.
The fox was cunning, while the crow was naive.
When two opposite things are placed next to each other. This is called a juxtaposition. Write the word 'Juxtaposition' into your Personal Diary of Words.
